Traditional Kukkiwon Taekwondo structured into three clear age brackets. Each track provides age-appropriate physical conditioning, technical excellence, and character mentorship.
Kids Track Curriculum
Ages 5-11Foundational motor skills, disciplined listening, and joyful martial confidence.
- Taegeuk Il-Jang (1) through Taegeuk Sa-Jang (4)
- Basic striking mechanics: Front snap, roundhouse, and side kicks
- Spatial awareness, balance coordination, and safe falling technique
- Non-violent verbal boundary setting and practical anti-bullying drills
Gradual belt testing every 3 to 4 months based on attendance, dojang etiquette, and consistent home discipline check-sheets.
Emphasis on effort, basic technical form accuracy, and respectful bowing.
- Dynamic agility ladders and balance beam drills
- Core stability exercises tailored for growing joints
- Fast-twitch coordination games that build cardio stamina
- Safe hip flexibility and posture alignment routines
